Refreshing Your Summer Skincare Routine

  1. Exfoliate
    Exfoliation is your best friend for dewy skin. The process helps remove any dead or dull skin cells that can cause congestion. In summer, it’s best to exfoliate in the morning followed by a good moisturizer and then SPF.
  2. Hydration
    Spending time outdoors in higher temperatures means that you need to up your water intake. Drinking at least eight glasses of water everyday is the least you can do to keep your skin supple and pliable in the heat.
  3. Adding Masks
    There are plenty of hydration masks available on the market that can offer you a bit of a boost when you are in need of a refresh. Weekly masks can prep your skin to absorb more moisturizer when applied and help capture that restful glow.

Avoid Sun Damage
UV rays can cause wrinkles, age spots, and dry skin. To reduce inflammation and premature aging, you need to protect your skin from harmful rays. This means that you should invest in a daily sunscreen that you wear even when not going outside. For time spent in the direct sun, look for a heavier protectant containing higher SPF.
